Zva Creative September DT Blog Hop!

The Zva Designers are joining together again today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative products. I am hoping that you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun again this month!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog: Paper Hugs. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating incase there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package ...YAY! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts now and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, September 28th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, September 29th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog as well (linked above). We will
do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Here are two of my latest Zva Creative layouts!

My Minds Eye Feature

I was featured on the My Minds Eye blog today, eek! I am so excited and honored! Thank you so much to My Minds Eye and Amber Packer, you guys are the best! :)

We Get to Keep Him!

John agreed to keep the puppy a couple of days ago! I think he wanted to keep him right away like I did. We decided to name him Riley.

He is TOO adorable! He's such a happy little guy. He's actually REALLY well behaved for a puppy! So far....

The puppy gets along really well with Layney too. I think it's going to be nice for my dog to have some company, she's super needy! lol. Now she has someone else to entertain her besides us. :)

I'm Baaack! *Photo heavy*

I'm back! Well, I've been here but this past week has been crazyyy.

My best friend, Stephen, from Alaska came to visit on Thursday! I haven't seen him in THREE YEARS since I last visited Alaska. It was amazing to see him again and spend four whole days with him! The four days went by way too fast though. We had to pack lots of fun things into just 4 days and by the time I dropped him off at the airport yesterday afternoon I was absolutely exhausted!

Some of the fun fun things that we did this week were...

We went to downtown OKC on Friday night to check out the nightlife. I had no idea that Oklahoma City was so much fun at night! :D There are so many fun bars, so many fun people- we loved it!

We BBQed with John two nights in a row. Stephen and John had STILL never met in the four years that I've been with John so they had a lot of male bonding to do. :)

Now Sunday was the most eventful day of our weekend! We packed up the car and Alex, Stephen and I headed out to Ft. Cobb to go boating at the lake with Amy and Bryan. About a half hour out of town the tire on my SUV blew, augh! It scared the pooh out of us, lol. Stephen said it was no big deal, he knew how to change a tire. Only problem was... no matter WHAT we did we couldn't get the spare off of the bottom of my car! (It's one of those spares that's attached to the bottom of the car, rather than being inside the car). I wanted to call Triple A right away just to have them come out and do it but Stephen was determined to do it himself. We eventually had to call John and he drove out to find us and HE worked on getting the spare off for over an hour before he finallyyyy agreed to let me call Triple A. Ugh, men!

Oh yeah... did I mention that it was POURING rain the whole time we were trying to get the tire off of the car? And that we were on the side of the interstate? Semis were speeding by spraying us with water the whole time. We were drenched!

I just had to take a couple photos of the guys soaking wet laying under the car. I have a couple more funny ones but John is making an inappropriate gesture when he came out from under the car and realized that I was laughing at him and taking photos, haha.

The triple A guy finally arrived just as the rain stopped and the sun came out. Figures huh? He ended up just towing us to a truck stop where John had to just go buy a new tire. He couldn't get it off of the bottom of the car either.

Alex was pretty sad that we had to wait so long to get to the lake.

But... he got over it. :)

5 hours later we finally got to the lake. At 6 PM. We couldn't go out on the boat but we just hung out, chatted and enjoyed some adult beverages while Alex and Kenedy played all night. :)

When I got there there were 6 adorable little puppies hanging out with Amy and Bryan. They had been there at their place last weekend while we were out there too. They were all so skinny and starving, it was so sad! We cuddled with them and fed them all night. Amy found out earlier that they belonged to one of her neighbors (who lived pretty far away since the houses are pretty spread out). The neighbor didn't want anything to do with the puppies and wasn't feeding them or taking care of them. I guess he has a bunch of dogs that he doesn't really take care of. So sad. :( There was one in particular that I was cuddling with and feeding out of my hand all night. He was really tiny compared to all of the others, his hip and rib bones were sickly defined because he was so skinny. I felt so bad for him! I finally decided that I needed to take him home and find someone to adopt him because I was afraid he was going to die out at the lake. :(

I thought John was going to be annoyed when I brought the puppy home but he cuddled up to him immediately and slept with him all night, hehe. I noticed that the puppy slept most of the next day but wasn't sure if that was normal for his age or not.

This morning the puppy was whining like crazy. The only time he wasn't whining was when I would hold him and pet him, it was so sad! I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. I took him to the vet and the poor thing had really bad worms and an ear infection. :( The vet cleaned his ears, gave him ear medicine plus worm meds and I took him home. He slept for a couple hours and got up and now he is acting like a normal, happy puppy! He's been scarfing food all night, wagging his tail and playing constantly. He is sooo sweet! I've been BEGGING John to let me keep him and I think that I almost have him convinced. Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

He's about 8-10 weeks old and looks like a black lab with probably some other stuff mixed in. He reminds me of my black lab that I grew up with. :) I'm super attached to him already!

Since I've been dealing with puppy stuff for the past couple of days it's seriously been cutting into my scrapping time! I have a couple things to share though. Here are some layouts and a card that I created with the August Hip 2 B Square kit.
