Goodbye!

Alex and I are getting ready tonight to go visit Montana tomorrow morning! I cannot wait. :) We'll be staying until July 24th so it's going to be a pretty long trip. I'm so excited to see my Mom, sister and friends. I don't know if I'm going to able to sleep tonight!

John took half a day off of work today, which is incredible because he hasn't had a day off in over a month and a half. We took Alex to see Toy Story 3.

We came home and I cooked one last dinner for John. I thought it was only right since he's going to have to cook for himself for the next month! Now I've been packing and cleaning all night, trying to make sure that I don't forget anything. I know I will, I always do, haha. I filled a whole suitcase full of scrapbook supplies to bring to my Mom's. John thinks I'm crazy but you never know what I'm going to need when I'm there! I was definitely very selective when it came to what I decided to bring, which is a little sad when you think about all of the scrapbook supplies that I have hoarded away. ;)

I'm going to miss him a ton, I know Alex will too!

BUT I was so excited about getting to see my Mom last night that I decided to scrap THIS photo:

My Mom!  Love her.

Zva Creative DT Blog Hop!

Are you ready to be inspired?

As you may know, I am a proud design team member for Zva Creative. We are joining together today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative products. I am hoping that you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. There are 19 design team members, so be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package ...YAY! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

This Blog Hop runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 30th on each of the winning blogs and the full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Here is my latest Zva Creative creation!

Father's Day Card

I made this Father's Day card for my Grandpa last week. My Grandpa is the best! I miss him so much. I'm hoping that I'll be able to see him towards the end of the summer but we're still trying to work those plans out. I haven't seen him in two years and I am definitely overdue for a visit.

Have a great Sunday! It's pouring rain here, exciting!

He's So Patriotic!

Another layout that I created with the Scrapbook Circle July kit!

Such a classic Alex pic. A big, toothy, squinty grin! Love it!

Only 5 1/2 days until I leave for Montana, woo! :)

His Big Boy Bike!

Here's Alex on his "big boy bike", he rode it all day long today.

Make sure to go take a look at the Scrapbook Circle site soon, Lisa gave the site a makeover and it looks amazing.

I had such a blast with this kit! Ever since I had a baby boy over 4 years ago I've become more and more obsessed with red, white and blue color combos. Perfect colors for a boy, right? Alex wears those colors more often than anything and his whole room is decorated in red, white and blue too. Since the main colors in this kit were red, white and blue with a touch of yellow thrown in it was fun and easy to create with. I put these layouts together in 2 days which is pretty incredible for me considering the fact that I don't get much scrappy time each day and I'm such a slow scrapper.

I just had to make a layout about his "angry smile". I love this photo so much!

Thank you for looking!

I had better get off the computer now. Alex has been nagging me for the past hour to let him watch the "Who Let the Dogs Out" music video on youtube. I showed it to him yesterday because I thought he would like the song but now that I've had to listen to it about 50+ times over the past couple of days I'm kind of regretting the idea. :)

Stuff That...

Stuff that I'm excited about this week!

John and I bought Alex his very first 2 wheeler bike last night. Photos coming soon! :) It seriously only took him about an hour to master it!

Got my haircut.

Mowed the jungle, also known as the backyard. :)

My baby is seriously a future model, I think so at least. :)

I received some happy mail from Mel again a couple days ago! She made me this ADORABLE layout of Alex, thanks Mel!

Life... From Alex's Perspective

One day last week I let Alex play with my camera. It was adorable because he took tons of photos all over the house and during our trip to Hobby Lobby. Turned out letting him play with the camera wasn't the BEST idea because he ended up dropping it! I took the camera to Best Buy and they cleaned it out and fortunately it's working okay again, just not as great as it was before. Now I REALLY need a new camera!
Here are some of the photos that Alex took. There were about 200 of them and most were blurry but they're still so fun!

There were lots of photos of the dog!

Scrapbook mess and my pretty Amy Butler bag from Becca.

Ooo, he photographed lots of my pretty paper!

Stinky 4 year old feet. :)

I found a good 20 photos of my butt! I can only imagine what people were thinking while Alex was standing behind me in Hobby Lobby taking photos of my BEhind and me being none the wiser, lol!

There were probably 50 photos taken of his feet, looks like someone has a foot fetish! :)

Of course he had to take photos of the Cars and Thomas the Train fabrics!

He must have taken a liking to this pattern ladies legs. What a naughty boy! :)

Later on at home. Here's me trying to get some fresh air leaning out the door. This was when our air conditioning was broken so please don't mind my gross sweaty face, lol!

Alex thought that it was important to photograph every plant in our front yard.

So that's life from Alex's perspective! Now that he's camera obsessed I'll probably do more of these posts from now on. :)

New Layouts

I have been scrapping lots this week, here are a couple layouts that I have completed so far:

This one I created for Zva Creative. I have been having so much fun playing with all of their pearls, jewels and flowers! This is a photo of Alex and his friend Kenedy last weekend.  If you look closely you'll see Kenedys "New Froggie Friend" in her hand. :)

Supplies used: Zva Creative Taupe Serenity Swirls- Item #: PE-03CA-115; Zva Creative Felt Flowers- Item #: FL-01CB-115; Zva Creative Felt Flowers- Item #: FL-01CB-117; Patterned paper: Bo Bunny; Chipboard Letters: My Minds Eye; Epoxy Letter stickers: American Crafts; Cardstock: Coredinations, Bazzill Basics

This next one started out to be another Zva creative layout but it got so full of stuff that I really didn't have room for any more embellishments, oops.

Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon; Letter Stickers: Sassafras Lass, Jillibean Soup, Jenni Bowlin; Butterfly stickers: Jenni Bowlin; Buttons: Autumn Leaves
