Flowers Galore!

Today I am the featured artist on the Ideas for Scrapbookers Blog. Stop by for details about this layout and for a free sketch!

I also posted a rosette photo tutorial on the Scrapbook Circle blog today. Check it out if you want to learn a new little flower technique.

I stayed up late last night working on this layout. I went a little overboard with the flowers but.... I really don't think there's such a thing as TOO many flowers. ;)

I used clear Stickles to trace all of the flower stems, leaves and flowerpots.

Almost Friday!

To create this card: I cut a bunch of the flowers are leaves out of the Pink Paislee paper to use as the main embellishment. I added a Prima rose, Zva Creative rhinestone flourishes and also used another PART of a Prima flower as well. The green fabric circles were actually part of a big Prima flower that I thought would look really nice on my card but it was too large. Instead of nixing the flower idea all together I just trimmed a couple of the fabric circles off of the big flower to use instead.

New Look!

What do you think of my blog make over? It was about time I updated this thing and made it look a little better! :)

I wanted to stop by and share a couple of just-for-fun layouts that I created last week. The first one is of Jenny TP and I during her wedding last year. Isn't she such a beautiful bride?? She enhances these gorgeous Pink Paislee products perfectly! I love all of the new Pink Paislee collections this season.

I have been browsing through Alex's old baby photos a lot lately. It's so much fun to look back and admire how much he has grown just within the past few years! This photo here is one of my absolute favorites. He had just turned one when this photo was taken.

I used lots of the Sassafras Lass "Nerdy Bird" collection here.

Fun Week!

I had such a great time with Sarah during her visit this week.

Sarah and I made sure to set aside some time for scrapbooking.  I made this page for a Baby Scrapbook Class that I'll be teaching at Paper Crown in Oklahoma City next month. I got to play with the new Making Memories baby line. I am in LOVE with the die cuts and the big safety pins that come with this collection!

It's Been Too Long!

The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL, Alex and I have been spending most of our days outside. Today was the first icky day in awhile and it's supposed to rain most of this next week, ick.

To make up for the yucky weather, my best friend from Montana- Sarah is arriving tomorrow morning!!! She's coming to visit for a week!

She and I plan to do lots of scrapping, lots of shopping, lots of everything!! We have to make up for 6 months of not seeing each other.

Before I go here are a couple cards that I created with the Scrapbook Circle April kit.

Online chat with ME!! tonight! :)

Hi all! I just wanted to drop by to let you know I will be over at Sketch Inspiration for a live online chat tonight! :) Thank you so much to Chelsea for inviting me! It'll be from 6:30PM to 7:30PM Central time.

I made these with lots of the new Basic Grey Green at Heart collection. This collection is made up of the most perfect colors and patterns for Easter layouts! I just had to scrap more of the cute photos of my son in his bunny ears, lol.

I made these layouts based off of page templates from the Ideas for Scrapbookers blog.

I have been in such a good mood since this warm weather started last week. I'm wearing capris, a tank top and sandles today, hooray!

Here's Alex looking at the flamingos at the zoo. He kept calling them "goslings" and I kept telling him that they were actually flamingos. Now he calls them "mingos", so cute!

I used the My Minds Eye "Oh La La" collection here.

Here are some cards that I made for the March issue of CARDS by Scrapbook Trends magazine. I was asked to be the Featured Artist for the month of March! Last year when I received the email from the creative editor, Alisha Gordon, I think my jaw hit the table, I felt so honored! :) Still do!

Here are the cards:

Happy Easter!

I am stopping by my blog to wish all of my friends and family HAPPY EASTER!!  Jennifer and I decorated eggs with the kids today. Tomorrow we are spending the day shopping and scrapping and then on Sunday we are having a big egg hunt. After the hunt Alex and I are heading back home to spend Easter night with John (he has to work all day on Easter, isn't that horrible)?  Alex is having fun here but he's already excited to go home as well to go see what the Easter bunny is going to bring him. :)

Here are a couple layouts that I've created with the Scrapbook Circle April kit so far.

The kit colors and papers are perfect for all of the cute Easter photos that I took of Alex. I cannot wait to scrap all of them!
