April Kit Giveaway!

Hello Everybody! Happy Monday! :) We had a great day today, finally getting some things taken care of that have been weighing on my mind, hooray!

I've been creating like crazy this week. I've been super inspired by all of my new "wedding" photos.

Don't they look precious in their bunny ears? Alex is such a little diva already, he loves posing for the camera!

Jewel would not coorporate with me when I tried to take her photo. You can barely see her cute bunny outfit! Siggghhhh... Oh well. :)

Before I go, here's a little peek at Alex's new swing set!! It wasn't totally put together when I took this photo but John just finished building it tonight! I'm kind of sad that he's done putting it up in a way though, the weather has been so nice. Alex and I have just been hanging out outside with John and watching him build for the past couple of days. Now we need to find a new project for John! lol. Alex is absolutely thrilled that it's completed though. He played on it for hours until it was too dark for us to see tonight! :)

I'm Married!

Yep, I got married yesterday, hooray! Everything's pretty much the same, since we've been living like a married couple for the past two years anyways! It's still pretty exciting though. I'm VERY excited that John is now my husband... it's still weird saying that word, "husband", but still awesome. My NEW name is Jill Cassity!

I'm really excited about my ring- the big diamond in the middle is from my late Nana's first wedding ring, the one my Grandpa proposed to her with. It's from South America- where my Nana's from. I'm really sentimental, as you can probably tell, so having her diamond in my ring is such an amazing tribute to her.



I finally got a photo of my sister, Mom and I! It's way too bright but at least I got one!


My mom got John and I a hotel room at a nice hotel for our "wedding present" yesterday. We got to have a kid free night, first time in.... at least a year! We had fun running around town and going out for St. Patty's Day. We're so lame though. Right when we arrived at the hotel we took a nap- lol!! The bed at the hotel was just so comfortable, we're pretty sure it was a memory foam bed, now we want one of our own! We felt like we wasted half of our kid free night but at least we got a nice, uninterrupted nap! :)

My mom was mad at us because we got right up this morning and came home. She wanted us to go out to breakfast and lunch and stuff, but we already missed Alex! :) We've both kind of become homebodies over the past couple of years, I guess that's what parenthood has done to us! :) A little later we took Alex and my sister to the zoo. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold and almost all of the animals were out. We had so much fun!! I think my sis is really starting to like Oklahoma, yay! John and I are trying as hard as we can to make her like it so she'll move down here with my mom.

It's been such a great week and we have big plans for tomorrow too! We're taking Kelly (my sister) to two of the colleges so she can check them out. She's really thinking about going to school down here. John and I want to take her to the nicest mall and to a couple touristy spots too. We'll see if we have enough time! We're just trying to pack everything into a few days since she's here for such a short amount of time.

Hello Hello!

Hey There!! I have been having sooo much fun with my Mom and Sister this week!! :) Alex has been having the most fun, he loves his Grandma more than anything.

My mom is going to get mad at me for putting this photo up because she doesn't like it but I think she looks beautiful!! We got better photos on her camera but we'll have to go to Walgreen's to upload them. :)

Alex's birthday party was on Saturday. We had a big party for him at Incredible Pizza Company, he had so much fun. :)




This week John and I have been getting ready to get married tomorrow. I'm pretty excited! :) I finally found a ring yesterday, I can't wait to get it!! I was trying as hard as I could to find a ring to incorporate a diamond from my late Nana's wedding ring that she left for my family when she passed away and I finally found one that I liked! I'm really excited that my ring is going to be a tribute to her as well.

I would like to thank everyone for the wedding wishes last week, you all are the best, your comments mean sooo much to me. Thank you!

Big News!

Hi Everyone!! I have some pretty big news to share. John and I are getting married next week! On March 17th. We are just going to the courthouse for a simple civil ceremony, but we will have our BIG actual church wedding with a reception either later this year or early next year. I can't believe John will actually be my HUSBAND soon, so crazy. :) I think it's going to take awhile to get used to.

I'm even MORE excited because when I told my Mom our news she went and bought a plane ticket to Oklahoma right away. She'll be here Friday afternoon, yay!! I miss her more than anything in the world. She's going to be the best wedding present ever! My sister is coming later next week for the "wedding" as well. Alex is SO excited because my Mom will be here for his Birthday party on Saturday! My big boy is turning 4, augh! Time goes by so fast!

In between all of the planning, constant phone calls and excitement I've had a LITTLE time to scrap. Here are two more layouts that I have created with the Scrapbook Circle March kit.


I've been having fun trying out a bunch of different ways to make 3D flowers out of paper. I've seen lots of tutorials around on how to make them and I want to try out every different way possible!

I'll leave you with a couple photos of Alex doing some gardening today. He and John went to Lowes and bought grass and flower seeds. John's been working on killing all of the weeds in the back yard and planting actual grass. Alex got to dig around in the dirt for a few hours with him, he couldn't have been happier!
