Father's Day Card

I made this Father's Day card for my Grandpa last week. My Grandpa is the best! I miss him so much. I'm hoping that I'll be able to see him towards the end of the summer but we're still trying to work those plans out. I haven't seen him in two years and I am definitely overdue for a visit.

Have a great Sunday! It's pouring rain here, exciting!

We had the same idea. I planned on naming Blake Alexander and calling him Zander. I still love the name too. We ended up changing it about 2 months before he was born bc ppl told me Zander pair with our last name sounded dumb, and was a mouth full.
I'm pretty sure this little ones middle name will be Alexander.
Blake's middle name is Daniel. He also shares it with his great granddad, granddad and his dad. I'm concerned now about this little guy being hurt later on bc he doesn't have it too, but I don't want both of them to have Daniel for a middle. Thought about going with 2 middles but Im not a huge fan of that. Not sure what to do. What would you do?

Great layout! All my kids' middle names are family names. Coincidentally dh and my middle names are family names as well. Kind of neat to remember our families this way.

My daughter Victoria is named after my husband, Victor. He and I were both named after our dads so we figured it was perfect to keep suit.

Her middle name is Ann, after his mother. She passed away from cancer only a few short months after I met him, and I always knew that we would include her name.

For our future children, hoping we have girls we will name them either Isabella, or Gabriella. I like that Victoria's name has four syllables and I would like to keep on with that!

Love this layout! I should do the same kind of layout for my kids. We drew my son's first name (Adam) out of a hat the night before he was born. We could not agree on a name, so we put all 4 in a hat & had the nurse draw one out. His middle name is Carter after his dad's middle name & his grandpa's middle name. My son is the fifth generation to have the middle name.

My daughter's first name (Courtney) is after our best friend. His name is Matthew Courtney. If she was going to be a boy her middle name was going to be Matthew. Her middle name is Rae, just because I liked it.

So, Adam Carter & Courtney Rae are their names & I love them!

So sweet! I love the name Xander. Of course, if we ever have a girl, we're going to run into tons of pronunciation issues with the name we've chosen. Haha.

I loveeeeeee the story behind Alex's name! :):):) And i loveeeeeeeeee the lo too!!! Adam was chosen by my ex... he wanted to name him after him (Walter the 3rd...UGH...no thank U!! LOL!) and I told him that it was actually his step-dad that raised him...and that would hurt him if he named him after his real dad... soooooo i told him to chose anything else but walter (lol...little trickery on my part! LOL!)...so he chose Adam cuz it was his FIRST son (child) as in Adam in the bible... and Brookie was chosen because Brian's initials are BMW and we wanted her to be a BMW too... and she is! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Love your LO!!! I love the nickname Xander too!! Avery was first going to be Oliva Lea!! But, when I was in labor on the way to the hospital the name Avery Elizabeth popped in my mind and I knew that was here name!! Everybody was shocked when I told them her name because everybody had been calling my tummy Oliva! LOL! I can't imagine her being a Oliva now!! Plus, I have this silly fanasty that one day she will be a famous writer and I thought "Avery Elizabeth" sounded like a great authors name! ROFL!!

Like I mentioned in SB.com...I so love the nickname Xander for Alexander! :-) You know I'm a die hard Buffy fan & I would've been first in line to call your little boy Xander!

I love the story behind this layout--so very meaningful & heartfelt. Beautiful layout & lovely Father's day card...
