My Nana, aka, my Grandma (I called her Nana all my life), passed away last Monday. She lived in Trinidad, so I wasn't able to go to the funeral. My mom is still down there, shes taking care of everyone and everything there at the moment. She's hoping to come back to the US within the next couple weeks. I really hope she does soon. I know this has been hardest on my mom. She's been down there for almost 2 months taking care of my Nana and all of my great aunts. It's been really hard on her neck too, she still has a lot of healing to do. My Nana passing is really sad, but we were all expecting it. She was in a lot of pain and we're really glad that she is pain free and at peace.
John and I found out that we can buy a house now!!! We fought the system and finally have made it happen. :) We just made an offer on it yesterday! Hopefully we'll get good news tomorrow. I have my heart set on this house now! It's brand new, 4 bedrooms and beautiful.
I'm just so relieved that we're finally making this happen, so relieved that I don't have to stay in this apartment for another year!

OH- it was John's birthday 2 Sundays ago! I got a few pics, they're pretty bad but oh well. Least I took some right?
The kitty wanted some too. She's SO not a cat, acts just like a dog. She would have eaten it if we had let her, no joke.
Alex and I decorated, made him a cake and gave him some new shoes. We went out to dinner later on as well!
