Long Time, No Blog!

A couple new projects to share:

I got lots of new pics of Alex and I at the park that I still need to upload! We've been going a lot lately. It's so peaceful. There's a lake with ducks and geese right by the park too, I love it! It brings back memories of going to the duck pond with my dad when I was little. :)

Ello!

Hi There! Sorry it's been over a week since I've posted. :P I haven't been getting on the computer much lately but I have finally figured out why. When we moved into our new apartment last year it came with a built in computer desk beside the dining room. I set my computer up there, but I rarely get on it. I have figured out why I don't like to! It's in a corner of the house, away from everything. It's cold over there, plus John and Alex are never there, they are always hanging out in the living room or my bedroom. In my old apartment my computer desk was in the living room, right next to the entertainment center so I could hang out with the fam AND watch TV. I talked to John about it and we are trying to figure out a way to move the computer, cable modem and everything into the living room so I don't have to sit in a little corner of the house by myself. I'm weird, aren't I?? lol!! I've been using John's laptop in the living room but of course my scanner, printer, camera, everything else is set up on MY computer, so I can't do much on his computer it but chat on the internet.

So anyways, BIG news about Tinkering Ink! They have decided to move on and design for and with Creative Inc, you can read more about it on their Blog. Therefore, I'm no longer designing for them. :( Sad huh??

I DO have some exciting news though! Jennifer P and I are busy making stuff for a craft show that we are going to have a booth at at the end of the month! I am soo excited! I have never done anything like this before! I've helped my mom with a lot of craft and art shows, she has her own beadwork business. (She makes beautiful jewelery by the way!! I have a ton of stuff made by her, although she gets mad because I'm not much of a jewelery wearer, hehe. I don't brag about her enough though!) I love the craft and art show environment though. I love being surrounded by artists who create all different things, I love watching people admire all their work! Here are a couple things I've made to sell so far:

I have a ton more wall hangings and photo frames that I've either made or working on. I've already made a pile of crochet flowers to sell as embellishments. I bought lots of stuff to make cute jewelery too! I will take more pics soon, this is just so much fun! Jennifer's been making a ton of stuff too, I know she's made lots of feltie stuff and fabric aprons. :)

I have made ONE layout this week. I started working on another one last night. I keep moving from project to project before I finish.

The new Scrapstars challenge went up today!! It's a sketch challenge, here's my take on the challenge:

There's a prettyyyy cool prize I'm giving away for this one, please check it out if you have time! :)

OH, I've been watching lots of TV while scrapping, I am obsessed with these shows:

I watched both seasons of Ugly Betty in less than a week, I'm on season 3 of Weeds right now! I never get any sleep, I always stay up super late after Alex goes to bed watching them, lol.

New Layouts

I'm pretty excited that I have lots of new pics from my trip to scrapbook now!

In other news, I was pretty excited when I saw THIS this weekend:

I get to be a guest designer for Pink Paislee this year, yay! I was pretty stoked to see the new Design Team lineup as well. Lots of my favorite scrappers are on there!

I made some new years resolutions this year that I'm working really hard on. The first one was to take Alex's bottles away. I should have a looong time ago but he was just so attached to them I couldn't bare making him sad. On January 1st I threw away every single bottle in the house though. Surprisingly he's adjusted really well! He hasn't thrown a fit about it at all. He's asked for a bottle a couple times but I just tell him "We don't have bottles anymore, they are all gone". He seems to be satisfied with that answer. My other resolution is to get Alex potty trained. I'm trying super hard! He's been pretty good about going in the potty. He's totally cool with going #1 on the potty but he's still scared to go #2 for some reason... kind of weird but I hear that's normal. It's been a lot easier to potty train him ever since I went out and bought him one of those little kid toilet seats to put on top of the normal toilet seat in the bathroom. He's had a little potty that sits on the floor for a long time but he refuses to go in it. I let him pick out his own potty seat last week. He wanted the red and purple Dora one! I tried to talk him into getting the Thomas the Train Engine or Spider man one, but he insisted on the Dora one, lol! I didn't object because I want him to be able to have a say in his potty training, plus whatever makes him happy makes ME happy! :) I'm hoping within the next couple months he will be potty trained. Wish me luck!

I also wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great one! We didn't do anything, I just made a steak dinner at home and we hung out and watched TV. It was peaceful and I was happy to just chill with my little family. :)
