Fun Weekend! :)

This weekend was lots of fun! Saturday we did some shopping, what John and I do best, haha. Then today we went to downtown Oklahoma City and got to meet Jenny P and her family! It was so fun, she is awesome! Her fiance is hilarious, and her daughter is adorrrable! We ended up taking a few pics, I neeed to put the one of Jen and I up here because it's the only one I got, but I apologize in advance for how hideous I look in it! lol. :)



I got a bunch of Alex, none of him smiling in them of course though. :( We ended up all walking together to this ice cream place in OKC, and there was so much fun stuff to look at on the way! Alex was fascinated with the river and water fountains, lol. I swear, the more I walk around this city, the more I love it!




Well I have been scrapping tonight, scrapping stuff I can put online right away! :D lol. I spent all last week working on DT stuff, and I'm reallyyyy excited to share! I just can't until next month.

Who Loves....

Tinkering Ink?? I do! :) I've been frantically working on DT projects for their Summer CHA release all week. It's so fun, I'm hoping I'll get everything finished in time! I have to send all my work to them on Saturday, so wish me good luck!

Cups full of multi colored lolly pop sticks. I've been using them on my pages like crazy this week!:


Going to the pool with my baby Alex. We do it every afternoon!:



Baking! Actually, I really don't like baking, but I like making stuff for John to come home to, hehe.


Guess who's coming to visit this week?? Jenny P! I'm sooo excited to meet her, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun! :)

How's everyone doing?? I'm doing okay! :D Just dropped by my blog to rave about the Beach Bum kit from SIS TV some more, I've made 3 layouts so far, and I really likes it! :D Here's the other two layouts I've made this week with it:



I've been having fun scrapping the new pics from this weekend too. :) I've started to dig into the new Scrap Stars kit that hasn't gone up for sale yet. Shaunna worked soo hard to put it together and I want to make lots of examples of what you can do with it for her! She is a genius when it comes to finding fun stuff for kits.

Well I am off to actually get OUT of the house! lol. I'm feeling a little cabin feverish again. I'm not really sure where we're going to go but I'll figure it out.

Scrapstars Challenge....

Our new challenge is up at Scrapstars! It's called "Going Platinum". Our challenge to everyone is to use as much silver and bling that they can on a layout! I thought it was going to be a challenge for me... but I ended up having a lot of fun with it! We were supposed to include song lyrics on the layout if possible, so my title and journaling are lyrics from the song "You are a Star", by Fireflight. I decided to scrap my beautiful friend, Sarah, because she IS a star! She's such a wonderful person and no one tells her enough. :)


I really hope everyone will be able to join in on the challenge! I've been working on a really cool prize package, but we're not done yet. I've ordered a few more things to add and Shaunna's has some things to add too, wow! Here's a photo of what I bought for it the other day:


It includes a lot of the fun, random stuff I've been using on my layouts lately. I love "different" scrap supplies like glitter, tissue paper and fun stickers! :) Doesn't this look like something you'd want to win?? Just come try our challenge!

Fun Weekend!

Hi all! Here's some of the pics Shaunna and I took together this weekend. We had such a blast, she is even more fun in person! :) I can't wait for us to get together again sometime SOON.

We spent Saturday scrapbook shopping, going out to dinner, and then we went out for some drinks later. They had to leave this afternoon to get back to Texas for father's day, so we didn't get to do a LOT, although it was still so much fun. It's the first time I've really gotten out of the house since I moved here, so it was a much needed break! :)

I am lovin this kit!! Can't wait to play with it more tomorrow! I'm wayyy to exhausted to play with it anymore tonight. I was on the phone all night with Shaunna, and she's going to be here tomorrow afternoon! Woohoo! Expect lots of fun pics from us soon. :)

He's the Cheese to my Macaroni

I bought this shirt the other day, found it in the sales rack. I usually don't wear shirts with cartoons or anything on them, but for this one I had to make an acception since it was a Juno quote! lol. I took a pic of myself in it to make a mushy layout for my boyfriend, so expect one soon! :)

Today I've been cleaning the house like crazy because I THINK Shaunna is still coming this weekend. She's come down with a bad case of the flu, so hopefully she'll still be able to make it. :( I've been looking forward to this for the past two weeks, so has she! So we will see, I'll keep everyone updated.

I just bought the new Beach Bum kit from SIS TV. I LOVE the seashells and beach glass that comes with it. Who would have thought to use those on a layout?? Those girls over there come up with the best ideas! I just got it in the mail yesterday and can't wait to play with it!! I had to finish my layouts for the new Scrapstars challenge that's going up on the 15th first. You should definitely check it out if you get a chance!! I put together a pretty awesome prize for the winner too. :)

Hiii!

Sorry I haven't posted in over a week! I thought I would get better at this blogging thing once I didn't have a job anymore, but obviously not, haha. It's one of my goals now to get better at it. :)

This week was pretty nice. We had perfect warm weather all week except for last night there was a big storm, I was up with Alex half the night because he was scared, yuck! That's ONE thing I don't like about living in OK, all the storms! I don't really mind them, but I just don't like how they wake Alex up in the middle of the night, haha. Yesterday John and I finally got out to the mall in OKC, I love it! It's sooo much bigger and nicer than the malls I'm used to! :) John and I just ended up buying a bunch of stuff for Alex while we were there. He and I really weren't in the mood to shop for ourselves. Later on we kept thinking about everything we wanted to go back and get though, so NEXT weekend we're going on a shopping spree, yay!




I've been working all week on some fun Tinkering Ink projects. I'll be putting them up soon! Expect a little Tinkering Ink givaway on my blog sometime this week too!

Kitties n Birds!

Hey there! How is everyone?? Sorry it's been nearly a week since I posted last! I just didn't really have anything interesting to say... lol. See how boring my life has become?? But I love it! :) Alex and I go to the pool pretty much every day and chill out for hours. That's my fav part of the days now I think. Hopefully soon I'll get a tan! Ugh. I'm so pale it's hard for me to tan, I usually just burn.

John is on his 2nd week of work and he really likes his job so far! He's still learning, but it sounds like he's got the hang of everything for the most part. The poor guy's so tired every day after work though, I feel so bad for him! Some days he ends up working about 12 hours. Ick. I would go crazy! Other days though, he doesn't even work 8, so I think they all balance out for the most part. I told him that soon he's going to be all hot, skinny and tan from working out in the sun all day, every day, so I need to keep up!! haha. I don't want to be a pale, flubby couch potato standing next to a tall, tan, sexy man do I?? lol! :D Here's a pic of him in his cable guy getup:


He actually ASKED me to take that pic of him last week! I was shocked! I think he was all excited because he finally got his official shirt and hat, haha. :)

I had fun taking photos of my cat on our balcony today. Her eyes are HUGE in every one of them because she was watching the birds. That's all she likes to do now that she's discovered them! There's a birds nest on the stairwell in our apartment building. Alex and I have been watching them every day, it's amazing how fast they grow!! A few weeks ago when we moved in we could barely see their heads poking out the top of the nest when their mom was feeding them, but now they sit perched on the edge of the nest every day. I took a pic of them, but it's still a little hard to see them since the nest is up so high. You can see their cute, little heads sticking out the top though. Sorry about all the bird pooh. There's lots of it, but what else can you expect from baby birds?? lol. I had to take a photo of the mama bird too, of course!



Then here's Jewel, bird watching. Isn't she pretty??




Well, I am off to scrap some more! I finally got inspired tonight to scrap more. I picked up some colored duct tape and tissue paper at wal mart today, used it on this layout. I LOVE the stuff! There are sooo many different things you can do with tape and tissue paper, I want to go play with it some more!
