Tinkering Ink and Photoshop!

Hellooo. It's been a looong day already today, lol. I've been up since 7, didn't get to bed til 3 last night. I've been scrapping all morning and playing with photoshop. My sweet friend, Shaunna, is a Photoshop master and has been teaching me lots of stuff about photo editing! I'm excited that I actually have the time to sit here and learn this stuff now. :) If anyone knows of any good photoshop tutorial websites please send them my way! I have found a few but I'm pretty sure there's lots more out there.



I've been playing with the Tinkering Ink Wild Woodland collection this morning. I love it! The big, white daisy-ish flowers are my fav. :)



I'm off to eat some strawberries and watch more episodes of House that I just got on DVD. I love that show! Haha, I'm so random.

Whew! So I got one mini album finished last night, yay! It only took, what? 3 days?? lol!! I've been making layouts and stuff on the side too though. :)

Thanks so much to everyone who left me inspirational links! I really appreciate it and they really helped! I'm going to need a LOT more help with them here soon.

Here's a few of my fav pages out of my mini. Sorry the photos aren't the best! I'm still pretty dumb when it comes to taking photos. That's one of my goals now that I'm not working too-- I neeeeed to learn more about photography and practice more! Anyways, this is a new acrylic album made my Magistical Memories. Their clear albums are so cool! They make them in so many different shapes and sizes! This album is all about John and how much I love him! :) He made fun of me for it, but that's just how we are. He loves it!






Today was John's first day at work. It's actually been a pretty nice day without him being here! Not that I MIND him being here, but before we moved he was hardly ever home because I worked days and he worked nights so we hardly saw each other on weekdays. It's quite a change now that we're on the same schedule! I was a little scared Alex was going to be difficult all day because he KNOWS I'm the easy parent, but he hasn't been at all! He's been helping me with chores and playing nicely without throwing any dumb fits. It's been nice! :D

Oh, and for those of you who know me, know I LOVE horror movies, all kinds!! Zombie movies have always been a FAV of mine, they've been an obsession of mine since high school! I watched these this weekend and I looove them!! Flight of the Living Dead was my fav. Watch it if you love horror movies, you'll like it too!

When I get bored! lol. They're mostly "me" pics since Alex bounces around so much it's often near impossible to get a good photo of him!

I've been having such a pleasant week. Just hanging out with John and Alex, and getting a lot more scrapping done than I ever have before during the weekdays! :) We are getting a little bit of cabin fever though. We don't know anyone here yet besides John's parents, so it's not like we can really meet up with friends!

Alex has kind of been a little turd lately too, but I think it's a mixture of him getting used to a new place, not going to daycare every day and being around a bunch of other kids, AND just being a normal, tempermental 2-year-old! We just gave him a "big boy" bed too, and he's learned that he can just get out whenever he wants. Augh!! He did great in it the first couple days, he slept all through the night and his naps, but now it's near impossible to get him to stay in bed for his afternoon nap. Hopefully this won't last too long! lol.

Hi From Oklahoma!

We are finally here and unpacked. Thank GOODNESS! It was a long trip, lol! :) We left Montana on Thursday morning and arrived in Oklahoma Saturday afternoon. We were EXHAUSTED. We had to unload our moving truck after that though, that was a pain. I'm so glad it's finally done and overwith! :D Our good friend, Arlen, came along and drove our car the whole way. Alex and I rode with him. I was relieved I didn't have to drive the whole way, I love him!! :) It was actually the best road trip I've ever been on, although I REALLY hope we never have to do it again! Alex was NOT happy in the car. He barely napped and needed constant attention. That's a 2 year old for ya though. I really appreciated that Arlen drove because then I could give Alex as much attention as I could. I felt bad for John though, he had to drive the big moving truck the whole way. He said it was really uncomfortable! He was jealous that we got to sit in a nice comfy car the whole way, lol. During the whole trip, Arlen took a TON of pics! Here are just a few to give you an idea of what went on this week. :)

My kitty, Jewel and I, waiting to get into our new apartment once we FINALLY got to Oklahoma. Poor Jewel was so freaked out at first being on the road!! She got used to it eventually, but you could tell she still wasn't happy. She's all nice and settled into our new home now though. :)

I'm going to have to take pics of our unpacked and clean apartment soon. I worked on it all weekend! It really helped that we didn't get our internet and cable installed until today. Once I have access to the internet I become a total slacker! lol.

I'm going get back to scrapping now. Tonight is the first chance I got to scrap before I moved, and it feels wonderful!! I'm trying to scrap all of our pics from our goodbye party first. It makes me miss my friends even more than I already do. :(


Now I'm off to scrap more and catch up on everything I've missed out on on the internet this week! :)

Hello!! I'm about to pack away my computer for our big move, so I probably won't have access to the computer until Monday, unless by some miracle the hotels we stay at have wireless internet. :)

Just a quick update... last night our friends threw us a huge goodbye party. We had it at a big bar, it was closed down just for our family and friends. We had a blast!! It was soo hard saying goodbye to everyone though. We have so many great friends here, and now it's all actually settled in that I'm leaving all of them. John and I know we're going to keep in touch with them though, and we'll be back every few months to see them.






Now I'm going to have to get back to packing. John and I have been running around and packing ALL day, and we still have SO much to do! We are hoping to leave by Wednesday, so we're going to have to work hard to be ready!

Tinkering Ink! I'm soo excited to have the honor to design for them! :) Paul and Kezia emailed me last weekend inviting me to join the team, when I got the email I nearly fell out of my chair! lol. I absolutely LOVE their products, and now I have the pleasure to get to design with them all the time.

Stay tuned, this month I'm going to have some FUN Tinkering Ink givaways on my blog! I probably won't have the time for them until after I move, but I should be settled into my new home in Oklahoma by next week.

Helloooo! How's everyone doing?? Sorry I haven't been able to announce my big surprise yet, I can't just yet, but hopefully by the weekend I'll be able to. I guess some people think I'm pregnant, but that's not my surprise! :D I'm SO not pregnant, I couldn't handle another one of these crazy guys right now! :)



I had to stay home from work today because I caught the stomach bug that Alex had. Just what I need on my last week of work, right?? I'm feeling better than I was yesterday and earlier today, but still not 100%. Poor little Alex is doing better, but still not great either. John's probably going to have to stay home with him tomorrow. I'm forcing myself to go to work because it's my last day tomorrow. I feel bad because I don't want to seem like I look like I'm slacking on my job since I'm quitting. I've never been like that, and never will be! My supervisors are being pretty understanding about it though, thank goodness. I'm just hoping I'm going to be totally better by our goodbye party on Sunday. We've been looking forward to it for weeks and I will be so depressed if I'm not able to go! :( I've had to cancel all my plans so far this week, so this is like my last chance to see everyone before I leave.

Hiiii!

How's everyone doing?? I'm doing okay for the most part, I had to stay home today because Alex has a stomach flu that's been going around, but I took him to the doctor today and the doctor said I have nothing to worry about. I just need to keep him away from dairy products for a couple weeks, and he's been fine now that I'm making him drink soymilk and not letting him have cheese. That's all he ever wants is milk and cheese, so I needed to get some kind of substitute! :)

I had a 4 day weekend this weekend because of having to skip today, it's definitely been nice, besides Alex's whole stomach flu thing. I'm definitely going back to work tomorrow, but I just have 4 days to go until I don't ever have to work again, yay! :D

John and I have been super busy still, trying to get everything ready to leave. I still have a LOT of packing to do, I'm SUCH a procrastinator!! I planned to get a lot of it done this weekend, but of course I didn't, haha. I spent a majority of this weekend scrapping, and I'm almost done watching 2 whole seasons of the show, Dexter. It is an AWESOME show, I would recommend it to anyone, it's sooo good and intense!! I'm totally hooked on it! 

I have some BIG news to share within the next couple days, I'm sooo excited to share!! There's a hint in one of these layouts, although I doubt anyone will be able to guess, lol. Check back soon if you want to find out what it is! :)



I just got Alex to bed and I'm off to get some packing done, I swear I'm going to this time! Don't want to leave it all til the last minute, that would be such a pain. :) 

My New Obsession....

Is apples! I love them! :) I don't know what it is about them lately, but I've been trying to find as much apple scrap stuff as I can. There are some puffy apple stickers in the sweet spuds kit this month that I am in LOVE with, does anyone know where I can buy a bunch?? I've been looking for them on the net all day today with no luck! I bought all the KI Apple lace cardstock this week, along with a super cute hand drawn and digitally colored apple from Michelle Alynn! It is just too adorable. :) Anyone else all about the apples this month??



I am sitting here at work today, and it's SUPER boring. I guess I could go find something extra to do to pass the time, but do I want to?? haha, NO! I wish I could go home and pack, there's still sooo much to be done! I took tomorrow off so I could get a 3 day weekend again, it's going to be nice. :) AND, next week is my last week of work! yayyy! I can't tell you how excited I am!

John and I just found out that we are going to have to drive seperately when we drive down to Oklahoma. We thought we were going to be able to hook our car to the back of our moving truck, but none of the companies around here have trucks that will carry a car as big as ours. I SO do not want to drive the car by myself, I'm such an anxious driver, but looks like I'm going to have to. Shaunna wants to come drive with me down to Oklahoma, we are still trying figure out if she can.  We still have never actually met and a 3 day road trip would be fun and go by so fast with her there with me! :) I couldn't imagine us ever running out of anything to talk about, haha.

Anyways, I'll keep everyone updated on that, if anyone cares! :D
