I had a great weekend! I hope everyone else did too! Now here I sit on sunday night, not wanting to go to bed because I don't want the weekend to be over!
On saturday Dani and John Adams came over and we all had an art day, it was awesome! We're planning on doing it every saturday from now on. Dani and John were working on painting and I was scrapbooking. John and Alex tried to avoid us all day! lol. They aren't really into the art thing. I made 4 layouts, I was so proud of myself! :D I'm planning on heading off to make more once I get off the computer. I just got the Autumn Leaves MOD and Rhonna Farrer collections in the mail and I was so excited that I got to use them this weekend! I am such a sucker for buttons, they are my new favorite embellishment! I don't think I've made a layout without buttons on it all this month! I think buttons can be addictive ;) During our art day we all took a little break to go shopping at Michael's and play outside with Alex. He played with bubbles for the first time and he was so fascinated by them! He was chasing them around the yard, it was just the cutest thing! Saturday night John and I went to dinner and a movie. It was nice, just the two of us. :)
Today was kind of a lazy day. I didn't do much at all but work on scrapping, cleaning and playing with Alex. (I played with Alex mostly! lol)

I do! I really do! I love my son and my boyfriend more than anything in the world!! If you hadn't noticed MOST of my layouts are of them! On this one I used The Creative Imaginations Caution skull patterned paper again. I love it and I absolutely can't get enough of it! :) I'm planning to get a LOT of scrapping and fun artsy things done this weekend! Dani and I are going to Michaels saturday morning and then going to my house to work on scrapbooking alll day! (John decided he and Alex are going to go off and do their own thing, haha) I actually cleaned up my whole art space, which hardly ever happens. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! My best friend Dani is sooo special to me!! I just want her to know that, and that she is the best person ever! lol. I know she's been going through some hard times lately, but I will always be here for her! Here are some layouts I've made of her recently. Today is Easter Sunday. I should be getting ready to go meet my mom and sister for lunch but I am kind of dreading it in a way! This is our first Easter without my dad. Holidays just haven't been the same since October. My mom was going to make dinner at her house but we all decided it would be easier just to go out for lunch, just like we did on thanksgiving. It's just easier that way until my mom moves out of her old house. I know that we would sit and stare at my dad's seat at the dinner table, just like we did on christmas. The only thing that keeps all of us going is having Alex here. He wasn't around last year for the holidays and having him here makes all of us so happy. He is such a happy baby and you can just tell that he loves life. Watching him discover new things every day is so much fun! I put him in the grass yesterday for the first time and it was so hilarious watching him touch the grass! He would reach down and touch it and then take his hand away really fast and just stare at it. When I picked him up to put him in the car he started yelling. He wanted to stay in the grass!! I will take him back outside soon, it's just been way too cold to stay outside for a long period of time, I'm getting so tired of this cold weather!
Yesterday Dani, Lindsey and her daughter, Tadum came over. Dani brought big easter baskets and stuffed animals for Alex and Tadum. It was so adorable seeing Tadum and Alex meet eachother for the first time! Tadum is 15 months so she and Alex are really close in age. They pretty much bonded right away. Alex was really shy at first and wouldn't leave Dani's lap, but then they slowly walked up to eachother and started playing with eachothers stuffed animals. They were sharing bottles and Tadum even started feeding Alex cheerios! I discovered something new about Alex too! They started playing with his walk along and soon Alex grabbed it and took off with it! Whenever he came back over to Tadum she would try to grab onto it too, and Alex would turn to her and start yelling and shaking his finger at her like he was scolding her!! I don't know where he learned that! I never shake my finger at him!! lol. I discovered my son can be a little bossy! :)
John went clothes shopping and bought Alex a couple new Ecko outfits yesterday, they are SO adorable!! :) He has bought Alex so many nice outfits. He buys him so many expensive, brand name clothes, it's insane! I don't even know how many Ecko and Hurley outfits Alex has now! lol. John loves getting Alex ready to go in the morning, he loves dressing him in outfits so they match! It just makes me sooo happy that John cares about him so much, and takes care of him. You can just see how much they love eachother when they're together. Whenever John walks in the house, Alex runs to him with his arms open and a big grin. A few weeks ago John's cousin Leanne and her boyfriend came over to babysit on a saturday night. When John and I were leaving Alex started crying, and he ran right over to John and grabbed onto him. He didn't want us to leave! That just made me SO happy because my son loves my boyfriend so much!! :)
Yesterday night I went out to the Rainbow and the Carlin with John, Dani, Jason, John Adams, Lindsey, Mitch, Nikki and Matt. It was soooo fun! The only downside is John Adams drank too much and passed out, lol. Cameron had to take him home right after we got to the Carlin! We all had a lot of fun though, it's very rare that all of us get together anymore. We took lots of pictures, so I'm excited about that! More to scrapbook! :) I took pictures of Alex and Tadum and John earlier yesterday too. I will post them tonight after I download them.
Now I'm off to get ready for lunch. Then when I get home I'm going to work on my felt animals for the Red Velvet Art blog! They are so much fun to make and I have so many cute ideas!! Alex is going to love them! lol. I am determined to make this a great day! :)
I made this layout for the KI Memories "Scrap Your Sweetie" challenge! I had fun with this one! Love the KI Memories Wild Thing line! I embellished the layout using American Crafts chipboard letters, KI Memories brads, Foofala buttons and Making Memories alphabet stickers. Now I just need to work on this weeks KI challenge! lol. This weekend I'm also going to work on making a neat banner for my blog, and of course just working on more fun pages for my albums! I also need to work on this months challenges for The Jeans Art Dolls DT, I keep putting them off and I really shouldn't! :P
I have had a great week at work this week! I LOVE my new job, it keeps me busy, but I really enjoy it. PLUS I get to listen to music all day! lol. I just put my headphones on and work on the computer all day, what could be better than that?? :) I still am so happy that tomorrow is friday though, I absolutely love the weekend! Saturday I am going to scrap and hang out with John, other John, Dani, Sarah and maybe Lindsey in the morning/afternoon. The girls want to work on their scrapbooks with me, which makes me REALLY excited... I think I'm slowly getting my friends addicted! lol. Then on saturday night my mom's babysitting and we are all going out. I'm so excited, I haven't gone out with ALL my friends in months! When we all get together we always have such a blast! I'm thinking about bringing my camera along too, I have a feeling I can get some really great shots!
I'm off to clean the house, I want to get it done tonight so I don't have to worry about it this weekend. From the sounds of it I'm not going to have time to clean! :)
